As the funding landscape for humanitarian action continues to evolve, bridging the gap between humanitarian innovation and private capital has never been more important.

As a humanitarian innovation ecosystem builder, RIL is committed to creating the connections, platforms and partnerships needed to move promising ideas towards sustainable impact. That means not only exploring new sources of funding for innovation, but also engaging with new models of innovative financing that can bring different sources of capital into the humanitarian ecosystem.

We are therefore delighted to announce a RILx Strategic Partnership with AVPA for #RILx26. Bringing together RIL’s humanitarian innovation ecosystem with AVPA’s impact investment and venture philanthropy ecosystem, this partnership creates an important bridge between two communities that have much to learn from—and offer—each other.

Together, we will explore both how innovation can be funded differently and how financing itself can be innovated to support greater impact in humanitarian settings.

Our partner AVPA will host its annual conference from 9–11 November in Cape Town, under the theme Beyond Aid: Financing Africa’s Future for Sustainable Impact. More than 500 delegates from across Africa and around the world will convene to exchange ideas, forge strategic partnerships, and explore new opportunities to finance Africa’s future.
