Response Innovation Lab Joins Catalyst Now as an Official Member
We are pleased to announce that Response Innovation Lab (RIL) has joined Catalyst Now as an official member. This marks an important milestone for RIL connecting humanitarian innovation with a global movement for social innovation and systems change,.
Catalyst Now is a global movement bringing together social innovators, community leaders, organisations, governments and other actors working towards collaborative systems change. Its approach is grounded in a simple idea: the world is not short of solutions, but too often, the people and organisations working on them remain disconnected.
For RIL, joining Catalyst Now is a natural extension of our work as an ecosystem builder, enabler and facilitator of innovation.
For over a decade, RIL has worked to strengthen innovation ecosystems in humanitarian and fragile settings by connecting people, ideas, resources and opportunities. Our approach has always been rooted in collaboration: bringing different actors together, supporting locally driven innovation, facilitating partnerships, and helping knowledge and solutions move across organisational and geographical boundaries.
Becoming part of Catalyst Now creates an opportunity to take this work into a broader global ecosystem, while bringing the experiences and perspectives of humanitarian innovation into conversations on social innovation and systems change. Humanitarian innovation does not exist in isolation. Many of the challenges facing communities affected by crises are deeply connected to wider systems around finance, climate, livelihoods, technology, public services and local economies. Likewise, many of the approaches being explored across the social innovation ecosystem have important relevance for humanitarian contexts.
We see Catalyst Now as a space to connect these conversations.
Through the network, RIL will have opportunities to exchange knowledge and experience with a diverse community of changemakers, explore cross-sector collaborations, and contribute humanitarian perspectives to wider discussions on how innovation ecosystems can support lasting change. Catalyst Now’s membership model is explicitly designed around connection, peer learning, co-creation and member-led collaboration.
For RIL, this is not simply about expanding our network. It is about building stronger bridges between ecosystems that do not always speak to one another.
As RIL enters its second decade, we look forward to learning with, contributing to and collaborating with the Catalyst Now community, and to bringing more voices from humanitarian and fragile contexts into a global movement for social innovation and systems change.
