Innovation and Futures Foresight Workshop in Uganda!
On November 27th, Uganda Response Innovation Lab, in collaboration with Start Network, hosted a dialogue focused on the future of research and innovation in humanitarian response across Uganda and its neighboring countries.
The event took place at the Fairway Hotel in Kampala and brought together a diverse group of attendees, including refugee-led ecosystem support organizations, innovators, and researchers from Uganda, Somalia, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The participants utilized Elrha’s Humanitarian Research and Innovation Futures Toolkit designed to help humanitarian leaders and their teams make sense of uncertainty, explore systemic challenges, and generate actionable strategies for the future. Together, they mapped pathways to achieve resilience, relevance to communities, and navigate funding uncertainty.
The workshop contributes to the global conversation on innovation and the vital roles that diverse actors play in shaping the future of humanitarian work. Heartfelt thanks to all our partners and participants for their valuable insights and contributions!
