Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership Training Series

At a time when challenges are growing and funding is shrinking, we urgently need more effective and efficient ways to respond to the needs of crisis-affected communities.

Despite ongoing efforts, localization and risk sharing still face persistent gaps — and these gaps highlight the need for innovation now more than ever.

That’s why we launched the first round of the Humanitarian Innovation Basics training series, under the program "Humanitarian System Transformation through Local Humanitarian Leadership" in support of Oxfam Novib (read more about the program).

We had the privilege of working with inspiring colleagues from Oxfam and their local partners across several countries. Together, we unpacked the structural challenges around capacity and risk sharing, and explored how innovation can be a practical tool to rethink the way we work — from the ground up. This is only the beginning. Excited to keep building on this momentum in the next rounds!
