Entrepreneurship training program in Nakivale
UNLEASHED provides entrepreneurship training in Nakivale with the idea of creating C-19 responsive value chains rather than seeing the community depend on free distributions.
The International Labour Organisation - Start and Improve Your Business program (ILO-SIYB) is a materials-based training program for potential and existing entrepreneurs. The development objective of the SIYB program is to contribute to the creation of quality employment and economic growth. On top of this training, there is a monitoring and evaluation program to further enable the businesses to be established and this happens as they create linkages that support the entrepreneur’s access funding or create a market.
Unleashed has so far trained 20 entrepreneurs and is creating linkages with agricultural processors for the farmer entrepreneurs to create agricultural value chains. The participants will be able to cost their products, price them, create financial planning and cash flows which will enable them to make a profit.
Unleashed focuses on empowering and educating young refugees in the Nakivale Refugee settlement and the host community in potential discovery, skills development, leadership, and social entrepreneurship to improve their livelihood.
