Community Empowerment for Peace and Development (CEPAD)

Women-training program for alternative livelihoods in Rhino during the pandemic

CEPAD trained and supported selected women tailors in the Rhino refugee settlement in making face masks which they sold to earn an income and at the same time contribute to the prevention of the spread of the coronavirus. CEPAD also trained the same tailors to make reusable sanitary pads using materials in the local market. CEPAD trained some of the members of their pre-existing peace club volunteers in soap making so as to earn from the sales and contribute to the hygienic measures that can prevent covid-19.
