Rhian Mikisa Kalanguka

Rhian Mikisa Kalanguka is the Response Innovation Lab Coordinator in Uganda. Rhian is a project coordinator who worked with the iLabs@MAK project where she rolled out the Science and Technology Innovations Challenge, an initiative that introduced project-based learning in secondary schools across Uganda. The initiative equipped students with skills on how to apply their class knowledge to develop solutions to problems in their communities. Rhian has also lectured at the College of Engineering at Makerere University. While at the university, she discovered her passion in helping others experience success. She has mentored several undergraduate students on their learning journey at the college and also supported them in bringing their innovative ideas to life. As the RIL coordinator, she is the link to the innovators the Lab works with and she further supports their development. Rhian’s background is in Computer Engineering and Technology Innovations.
