Our Labs

A variety of labs, for a variety of contexts

The Response Innovation Labs are all hosted by either our founding or local NGO partner organizations. The local host mechanisms ensure that the lab has a secure home as it develops and supports the humanitarian innovation ecosystem and innovators, and brokers relationships. Our intent is that the labs are not to be permanent placements in the ecosystems, but rather mechanisms for a period of time until the ecosystem is fully functioning. That being said, not all ecosystems need the same type of support, and the length of time the lab is needed can vary. For this reason, the labs are hosted by both global and local entities.

ril country Labs

RIL Country Labs are facilities launched by RIL partners to implement the full Response Innovation Lab model and its three main components - Convene, Matchmake, and Support - in humanitarian response settings.

ril Affiliate facilities

Affiliate Facilities share RIL's vision of developing inclusive and collaborative innovation ecosystems but combine their own specific approach with RIL's methodologies.
